Named after the women and friends who inspire us most, our pieces carry stories of strength, resilience, and elegance. At the heart of SYDLYNN: A GRIFE is Sydney Groom, a western-fashion creative with a passion for honoring the heritage of the American West in everyday life. For Sydney, cowhide isn’t just a material — it’s a story, a tradition, and a connection to the women who came before us.
She believes that just like a good cowboy hat shields a cowboy from the harsh sun and carries water to a horse in need, a woman’s bag carries her identity but also serves as a trusted companion — a piece of her story that stands the test of time.
Every SYDLYNN piece is handcrafted from 100% genuine cowhide, built for cowgirls who value strength, individuality, and timeless style. With every stitch, Sydney’s mission is to bridge the rugged soul of the West with the refinement of modern luxury — creating bags that are as functional as they are iconic, meant to be carried through every chapter of a cowgirl’s journey.

Sydlynn began when I went searching for a bag I could see in my head but couldn’t find in any store. That search led me to a Brazilian designer, and what started as a pitch to bring her work into the U.S. market became the labor of love you see today.
Together, we crafted each piece of Sydlynn, where my vision met her artistry. Each bag is handcrafted in Brazil using genuine cowhide and leather sourced and produced there. The name A Grife (pronounced ah gree-fee), meaning a signature designer label, is a tribute to our rodeo sisters in Brazil — women whose strength and style continue to inspire every piece we make.
